Jeeze i dislike the workshop right now, it just messed everything up. Make sure the basic file isn't conflicting with anything. Like what, what would conflict, Extra or slim? Not necessarily one of the SCars addons, but another addon that might have a conflicting file.

Guys, I might have a lead on this case. So far for me, this is only happening for addons that are about 80 MB or larger. Also I noticed it crashes after it finishes downloading, which tells me that the file is in the computer somewhere, but it fails to move it to the "addons" folder after downloading. This is proven when the next time I start, because it skips the download and only writes the name of the addon at the bottom of the screen, which shows that the download is finished. Then it crashes GMod and also freezes Steam. Now I just have to find the temporary folder that Steam saves the file before it transfers it to the "addons" folder and figure out what to do next.
